Finally I have broken my drought!

Got out for a good 4 hours at Brighton in very light winds. ~10 knots. But it was ride-able.

And gave a healthy kick up the bum to my progressing lack of kitesurfing depression that was starting to get to epedemic proportions.

It was a bit chilly in the spring suit, but I mastered standing in shallow starts.
Its pretty nice being the only one out in Sydney too

This one I need to work out how to verbalise a bit better.. but here is the initial notes.

I was out for a ride on the scooter, when I arrived at a airport. I parked my scooter. And talked to a dude who hired planes. Somehow I rented one. Except it was the size of a scooter. and all wooden.

Went to line up for takeoff, but we were in stalls (ala horse race stalls). I was freaking out saying I had no idea how to fly. The guy in the next stall just said pull back on this, and you need to lift and twist this bit for takeoff.

So it appeared to be a race, with all planes taking off at once. I managed to get airborne.
looking at the coast, I appeared to be over Motueka.

I started having trouble maintaining altitue. I ended up flying along with my legs dangling below. and loosing altitude.
I had to land at another airport which appeared to be Bondi. I then spent the rest of the day trying to get back to the airport to return the plane.

I got back once the sun had gone down. But it didnt seem to matter that I hadnt returned the plane, or that I had no idea how to fly.

Very odd.

Well Mon, Tues was spent in Melbourne.
Stayed at the Westin. And apparently we have a corporate deal with them. So its no more holiday inn for me!

Rest of this week and most of next looks to be Sydney based!
Then I think the 12th off to NZ for a day. and Brisbane/melb that week too I think.

Well Im finally booked into the crazy sleep clinic. 1 July

Where I get electrodes stuck to my head, to measure activity.
to my temples to measure my eye movement
to my chin & legs to measure my muscle movement

and recorded with a video camera to catch my antics.

All this so they can then prescribe me barbituates.
(or maybe decide im mental)

Wonder if they give you uppers as well for when you wake up feeling crap.
