If I don’t make it back from work

30 08 2004

You will know that the Bank takes change control very seriously.

And thus I will get the “special neverending tour” of the basement where they put people who don’t follow process to the T.

Still the outage wasn’t too bad, I had a contractor actually pushing the buttons, AND it didnt affect any multi million/billion $$$ transactions!

See, I have good arguments.

But in case you didn’t know. There is a monument for those “who didn’t make it home after work” down in front of the Sydney Entertainment Center :) I like daffodils.

So I broke the non speaking thing

What does that work out to? Got out the calculator 49 Days!
interesting styles.

I didn’t bother asking the reason. I figure if she wants to verbalise, she probably needs the practice.

Off to Jindy again this weekend. But no driving! 6+ hours is a little much for the return journey.
Doesnt help with Jamos just told me they had what he picks to be the best day of NZ’s season. Lotsa snow et al. Grrr

Funny that he should find having a new board amazing! Hell my old board was a 1993 Farmer! (and thats not the length!) :)

Must say I am loving my new set up. Ride Pro Bindings, 32 - Level 4 boots, 163 Option Signature… mm Lusty. I’ve got a resort record on the tail. But Ive decided to leave off Australia. Save space for Japan, Europe or ??? :)

Its back.

But theres something different.

Is it the hair?
new shirt?
More travelled?
New glasses?

All of the above.
Primarily, just moved to a subdomain, so I can explore options for utilising my domain a little more effectively.

So if you would like a subdomain, or even a subdirectory.
Or a NZpunter.com email address.

fire away.

NB. Hermit still hasnt talked. I thought she was going to, I even got an email. Saying she has no plans to move out! but still no word.

Many pics and updates to post, I’ve just been waiting till I had moved everything to my new server.

Siesta Typing

6 08 2004

Has anyone else ever experienced this?

Post lunch I’m updating a trouble ticket.

i dont really realise my eyes have closed and I’m thinking/dreaming of something else.

When I open my eyes I am rewarded with a TT updated with the weirdest things. Basically, mid sentence I have begun typing whatever I was dreaming about.

“The redirect to oneclick is in place, direct links to reporting & help docs etc is available to all those who are old.”

New Zealand was all around me!

So I managed to pull it off.

Booked tickets Thursday afternoon, went out for a few, finished packing 2am. Airport @6.30.
4 hours sleep

Checked in with the old work on arrival, to try and drum up some consulting business.
Then it was time to party!

Met up with Allister, Dave, Becky, Felicity & Shane
Bounced around some of the pubs.
Ang was in town and correctly guessed I would be found downstairs at Jet post midnight! :)

Decided to party the night away, and got Allister to pick me up from town 5am to head directly for the snow.
0hrs proper sleep

Met up with Jamie, Dave & Janet at the snow. Had a good day boarding with some large snow flurries but overall good visibility. A little bit hard off piste.

Margarihtas, the Lodge & Powder Keg at the Ohakune Junction were the venues for the evenings entertainment.

Powder Keg was full of Ponsonby Milf’s, and a good nite was had.
5Hrs sleep

Perfect blue sky day Sunday. Awesome day was had, apart from Kirsty getting severly concussed on the last run of the day. Wearing a helmet and all.

Its quite crazy how invincible we think we are.

On the way home was keeping an eye out for Becky, as everyones phones seemed to be flat.
Managed to spot Becky & Iain on their way thru Taihape to the snow. So caught up over a couple of beers.

Back to Wellington…

Monday was the day of Wellingtonism’s
Started the day with breakfast at Fidels. Some unsucessfull shopping was broken with Krazy Lounge;Krazy Fries.. mMmmM

Then managed to at least buy some stuff, and squeeze in another meeting with my old work.

Before hitting Matterhorn for some 42 Below cocktails.

Pushed onto Hede for some very good Japanese.
Shane, Ang, Antony, Becks, Alisha, Allister, Christine, Vince & Madeline made for a great evening.

4am off to the airport; wow. I can’t believe I fitted it all into 4 days.

Hit the wall last nite, another 22 hour long day finally breaking me.
