Brisvegas for the weekend

Moby | 14/7/2005

Well I’m off to Brisvegas Friday – Tuesday.

Played paintball on Sunday with the Underwater Hockey guys. it was a large open course meaning not much up close action. However still very good fun.

Caught up with Tahlia too.

Kayaking & cappucinos

Moby | 11/7/2005

9am headed for the Spit Bridge. Very broken from the previous nite at the Tilbury Hotel.

However I put in the yards, got into my wetsuit and jumped in the sea. Some things just have to be done to bring on consiousness and possibly sobriety.

We paddled up around a few bays, and while in the effective middle of no where in particular we noticed a odd looking boat put putting along.

Coming into focal distance, it was covered in vittoria coffee signs. At this point the other 3 were waving, hooting and hollering. And indeed the little boat put putted over and made us Cappucinos et al in the middle of the harbour!

Between that and falling out in the mub between the mangroves it was a very cool morning.

Wentworth Falls – Blue Moutains

Moby | 30/6/2005

I retract my statements that were to the effect that the blue mountains were crap.

Sunday 26th June, Shane, Kristen myself took nina out to the blue mountains to do some exploring.

I still stand by the fact they are little more than molehills, however what height they have is put to good use at wentworth falls!
An amazing cliffwalk and it was a very surreal atmosphere with all the fog.

I will definatley do this walk again when it is fine, as Im sure it will have a completely different atmosphere.

Kiwis Invading Sydney

Moby | 19/6/2005

BC’s BBQ on saturday was a mucho meaty affair.

Allister & Christine were over for the weekend. Hit Cargo & the best bar in sydney: Scruffys (URGH!) still, taking the piss and spastic dancing works anywhere. But it appears I was a little too vigorous. I have inflamed my knee injury from last year.

This time I will go see a knee doctor :)

Also ran into Johnny & ? who we went to uni with. Very random.

Scooters rule the earth!

Moby | 8/6/2005

A two-wheel revolution suggests Australians may be embracing a new way of getting about town.

All over the country you see more and more nipping in and out of traffic jams without a care.

Australia is in the middle of an unprecedented scooter boom. The Vespa has become the thing to be seen on in many parts of Sydney and urbanites across the country are embracing everything from sub-$2000 ultra-modern commuter models with 50cc engines, to $13,000 650cc grand touring scooters.

Next to the car market, the overall numbers are tiny. However, the rate of growth is something makers of four-wheelers can only dream of.

In 2003, just 4000 scooters were sold nationally, this year importers expect to sell 10,000. The motor scooter is now the best-selling category of road bike and many believe that it is not a blip but a change of culture.

Rest of this week and most of next looks to be Sydney based!
